About the Artist
April Aultman was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1982. April became inspired by the arts at a very young age. As a child she built forts, sand castles, and Lego cities. At nine she began studying under artist, Jean Pellegrino. She continued her education throughout high school where she also studied under the guidance of Tami Culbert. In the summer of 1999, April attended a pre college program in L.A. at the Otis College of Art and Design. It was there that she studied graphic design and foundation studies. After graduating high school, April decided to continue her education at the Savannah College of Art and Design. April attended the college from 2000-2004 and graduated with a BFA in metals and jewelry. Since graduation, she has been working hard to open Designs by April, LLC. Her company is focused on creating unique jewelry inspired by color, pattern, and nature.
